    ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA FOR SBI CLERICAL EXAMINATION

    • All candidates who have completed graduation from a recognized university and board.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR SBI CLERICAL EXAMINATION

    • Prelims examination
    • Mains examination

    SBI Clerk Prelims examination

    To be eligible for any job in SBI sector the aspirants has to give the prelims examination. This is an objective exam and is of a total of 100 marks. Prelims exam consists of reasoning aptitude, English aptitude and quantitative aptitude sections. The candidates have to pass in each of the three section of the exam to qualify.

    SBI Clerk Mains examination:

    To sit for the mains exam the aspirants has to first clear the prelims examination. Mains exam is much more difficult and the questions are very tricky from the of prelims exam. The total numbers of marks are 200 in the mains exam which has to be completed in less than 2 hours and 40 minutes. One fourth marks will be deducted for each wrong answer as negative marking is one of the main reasons why most of the students fail to clear the exam. So if you will leave all the guessing game out f the examination hall, it would be better for you.  There are five sections in this exam namely general awareness section, English section, quantitative section, computer ability section and reasoning aptitude section.

      The general knowledge section has all the current affairs related questions. This will not only help in your general knowledge section but also in English section as you will read the current affairs in English.
    • How Syllabus of PO and clerk differentiate:

      The syllabus of clerk exam is very less compared to that of probationary officer exam but the two are not same syllabus wise. The types of question mentioned in the exam in not at all the same as the level of the two jobs is different so the level of syllabus would also be different. Therefore, do not believe in any kind of rumor and check the official syllabus for the SBI official site.
    • Practice should be done on daily basis:

      There are many sites that offer sample paper and also provide previous year papers, so download them and test your ability. Also try mock tests online to upgrade yourself in terms of time management. Before two weeks of the exams or when you finish your preparation, start these mock tests and by this you will only get better. Divide your topics and the start from the difficult topic to the hardest one.
