    Which animal has been notified as Vermin for a year by MoEF - Wild Boar

    Among the important National Current Affairs, On 3rd February 2016, wild pig has been notified as vermin for a period of one year from the date of issue of the notification in Uttarakhand by Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF).

    Animals across 13 districts (71 of 79 sub divisions) of Uttarakhand were declared to be vermin.

    Which country's National Assembly has voted for stripping of nationality for terrorists - France 

    On 9th February 2016, a proposal to amend the Constitution to strip people convicted of terrorist offences of their French nationality was passed by the National Assembly, the Lower House of the bicameral Parliament of France.

    On 10th February 2016, a follow-up vote is scheduled in which the lower house is due to reaffirm the vote.

    Approval by the upper house of parliament, the Senate is needed to change the constitution and then finally by a three-fifths majority by both houses.

    On 10th February 2016, Acclaimed film director Aurobindo Mukherjee passed away in Kolkata, West Bengal at the age of 97.

    Among the important appointments, On 10th February 2016, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed Tamar Hahn of Israel as the director of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Buenos Aires that serves Argentina and Uruguay. 

    Earlier to this, Hahn was the Regional Adviser for Resource Mobilization and Partnerships at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Panama City, Panama.
