English Language Day observed on - 23rd April

On 23rd April 2017, United Nations English Language Day was observed across the globe. Important to mention here that this day is observed on birthday and the date of death of William Shakespeare. As he was born and died on same date and also among greatest writers.

English Language Day is observed with an aim to make people aware of culture, history and achievements associated with the language.

World Book and Copyright Day 2017 observed on - 23rd April

On 23rd April 2017, World Book and Copyright Day was observed acorss the globe. This day is observed annually with an aim to highlight  the power of books and also to promote knowledge societies that are inclusive, pluralistic, equitable, open and participatory for all citizens.

On this occasion UNESCO released three books namely Reshaping Cultural Policies, Rethinking Education in a Changing World and Reading in a Mobile Era.
