    Bank Information Sharing deal was inked between - India and Switzerland

    Among Important Current Affairs, On 22nd November 2016, India and Switzerland inked a joint declaration for implementation of Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI). This information will be exchanged on reciprocal basis for tax purposes.

    Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes Sushil Chandra and Deputy Chief of Mission of Swiss Embassy in India, Gilles Roduit inked this agreement.

    With this agreement India will able to receive the financial information of accounts held by Indian residents in Switzerland for 2018 and subsequent years. Important to mention here that this exchange of information will start from September 2019.

    Who won Indonesia Open 2016 - Gaganjeet Bhullar

    On 21st November 2016, Gaganjeet Bhullar lifted Bank BRI-JCB Indonesia Open. He won 300000 US dollar as prize money for same.

    Jeev Milkha Singh of India finished second in the event. Gaganjeet Bhullar was also awarded Arjuna Award in 2013.

    India becomes Associate Member of - CERN, Geneva

    Among Important Current Affairs, On 21st November 2016, India became an Associate Member State of European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) as Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission Sekhar Basu and CERN Director General Fabiola Gianotti inked this agreement in Mumbia.

    Important to mention here that India was already awarded Observer status of CERN in 2003 then after India was invited to join it as Associate member.

    Who has been elected as President of FICCI - Pankaj Patel

    Among Important Business Current Affairs, On 21st November 2016, Pankaj R. Patel was elected as new President of FICCI. He will be succeeding Harshavardhan Neotia ( Chairman of Ambuja Neotia Group ) and will take charge in December 2016.

    Pankaj R. Patel is Chairman and Managing Director of Cadila Healthcare.

    On 22nd November 2016, Renowned physicist MGK Menon passed away at the age of 88. From January 1972 and September 1972 he served as Chairman of ISRO. He also served as President of the Indian Statistical Institute, President of the National Academy of Sciences, Director of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Chairman Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Technology and on various other positions.

    World Robot Olympiad to be held for the first time in which country - India

    For the first ever, World Robot Olympiad is scheduled to held in India. It will be 13th edition of thie event which will be organised jointly by NCSM from 25th November to 27th November 2016 at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.

    World Robot Olympiad is a robotics competition for young people in which more than 2000 students from 54 countries will take part.

    Theme for 13th World Robot Olympiad is Rap the Scrap. Rap the Scrap means Talk about waste, which will bring focus on recyling of waste and to manage it effectively.

    Nexy year this event is scheduled to be held in Costa Rica.
