Government to provide higher subsidy for airlines connecting - Two Regional Airports

Among Important National Current Affairs, The Union Government will provide higher a subsidy to airlines that operate flights between two regional airports, which is under the Regional Connectivity Scheme. 

However, the subsidy amount given to airlines that operate between two unserved or underserved airports will be 10% higher than sum offered to airlines that connect only one regional airport.

However, this day is also marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter (the founding document of UNO) in 1945.

For which award doctors from AIIMS and SGRH have been chosen for - Dr BC Roy Award

Among Important National Current Affairs, in the third week of October 2016, two doctors each from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) were selected for the most prestigious Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Award for their excellence in the field of medicine.

However, Randeep Guleria (Head of Pulmonology), and CS Yadav (Department of Orthopaedics) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences were selected for the award.

Also, the Chairman of Board of Management at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital D S Rana and Arvind Kumar were also chosen for the coveted award.

Well this popular award will be presented by the President in July, 2017.

54 eminent personalities selected for UP's - Yash Bharti Awards 2016

Among Important National Current Affairs, on 23rd October 2016 The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the list of Yash Bharati awardees 2016. 

However for the year 2016-17, about 54 personalities were selected for the coveted award.

Here are the lists of the awardees - Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, PayTM CEO Vijay Shekhar, Paralympic athlete Varun Kumar, Qawwaali singers Aftab and Hashim (Sabri Brothers), film director Saurabh Shukla and Atul Tiwari.
