112 Ft bust of 'Adiyogi' unveiled by - PM Narendra Modi

On 24th February 2017, On the occasion of Maha Shivratri Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 112-foot bust of Adiyogi at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. Adiyogi is another name of Lord Shiva.

It took eight months to built this bust. There is also a fact behind its height which is 112 ft, as per foundation this 112 ft height represent 112 methods that Lord Shiva offered towards self-transformation.

Before unveiling the statue PM Modi also released book title "Adiyoga: The source of Yoga" as this book is all about yogic sciences.

Names of best hockey players of 2016 in FIH Hockey Stars Awards - John-John Dohmen, Naomi Van

On 23rd February 2017, FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2016 were conferred in Chandigarh.

In male cateogry Belgium captain John-John Dohmen was awarded with best hockey player while in female category Naomi Van of Netherland was awarded with best hockey player award.

Apart from them following were awards given in other categories :

• Female Goalkeeper of the Year - Maddie Hinch ( Great Britain )
• Male Goalkeeper of the Year - David Harte ( Ireland)
• Female Rising Star of the Year - Maria Granatto ( Argentina )
• Male Rising Star of the Year - Arthur Van Doren ( Belgium )
• Female Coach of Year - Karen Brown ( Great Britain )
• Male Coach of Year - Danny Kerry ( Great Britain )
• Female Umpire of Year - Laurine Delforge ( Belgium )
• Male Umpire of Year - Christian Blasch ( Germany )
