    Dates for Compliance Window under Black Money Act has been notified by - Union Govt

    Among Important National Current Affairs On 1st July 2015, Compliance window under the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015 was notified by Union Government. As per this notification three months will be given (Upto 30th September 2015) to people so that they can declare their undisclosed foreign income and assets to escape prosecution under the new Black Money Law.

    People who will be disclosing in this period will further get 3 months time to pay the taxes and the penalty on their foreign income and assets. So they will have to pay tax of 30 percent and penalty too. So disclosing this way they will be saved from Stringent penalties and prosecution which are coming in future as per new law.

    As per new law which was passed in May 2015 there will be Stringent penalties and prosecution, including rigorous imprisonment up to 10 years and penalty equal to three times of the tax have been prescribed for violation.

    In which state "Mhara Gaon - Jagmag Gaon Scheme" was launched - Haryana

    Among the Important National Current Affairs, On 1st July 2015, Mhara Gaon - Jagmag Gaon scheme was launched by Haryana Government with an aim to provide 24 hour power supply to rural domestic consumers in a phased manner with their active participation.

    Haryana is first state in India to launch this type of voluntary scheme. State will have to bear expenses of 15 to 20 lakh rupees per village for its implementation.

    Who was selected for G D Birla Award for Scientific Research for 2014 - Sanjeev Galande

    Among the Important Awards, On 1st July 2015, Prof. Sanjeev Galande was chosen for prestigious G D Birla Award for Scientific Research for 2014. He will be the 24th recipient of the award.

    Prof. Sanjeev Galande is a professor of Biology and Team Leader at the Centre of Excellence in Epigenetics, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune.

    Do You Know : 

    G D Birla Award for Scientific Research was started in 1991 by K K Birla Foundation with an aim to honour high caliber scientific research undertaken by Indian Scientists, below the age of 50 living and working in India. A cash prize of 1.5 Lakh rupees and a citation is included in this award.

    Which eatable controversial product was given clean chit by UK Food Standards Agency - Maggi

    On 1st July 2015, Food Standards Agency (FSA) of United Kingdom (UK) said that levels of lead in the Maggi are well within European Union permissible levels and would not be a concern to consumers. 

    United Kingdom Food Standards Agency (UK FSA) tested maggi after it was banned in India by food safety regulator Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for containing high levels of lead and taste enhancer Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). 

    Who was nominated as first female judge of Afghanistan Supreme Court - Anisa Rasouli

    Among the Important International Current Affairs, On 30th June 2015, The head of the Afghan Women Judges Association and a former juvenile court judge Anisa Rasouli was nominated as first ever female Supreme Court judge of Afghanistan. Her name was nominated by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani which will require an approval from the Parliament.

    As per Afghan Constitution, There is a fixed ten years tenure of Supreme Court Judges.

    Among the Important Appointments, On 1st July 2015, Mr. U P Singh was appointed as Interim Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of state-run Oil India Limited. He will be succeeding S K Srivastava.

    U P Singh is giving his services as Joint Secretary (Exploration) under Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

    Name of the housing.com CEO, who was sacked - Rahul Yadav

    On 1st July 2015, Board of Housing.com sacked the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder Rahul Yadav with immediate effect after a meeting held in New Delhi. He was sacked by giving reason about his behaviour towards investors and media was not befitting of a CEO and is detrimental to the company. Now Yadav will not be a part of company in any manner.

    Rahul Yadav who is an IITian was a cofounder of this project housing.com which has more than 2550 employees now.

    Name of Indian-American teacher who was named for US Presidential Award - Darshan Jain

    An Indian American Teacher Darshan Jain was named for Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching by President Barack Obama.  He is serving as director of mathematics in Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Total 108 teachers were named for this prestigious award.

    Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is an annual award which is given to outstanding K-12 Science and Mathematics teachers from across the country and carries a cash prize of 10000 US dollars from the National Science Foundation.

    Who was appointed as new CFO of TATA Motor's Group - Chandrasekaran Ramakrishnan

    On 1st July 2015, Chandrasekaran Ramakrishnan was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Tata Motors Group with immediate effect. Tata Motors is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segment.

    Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yoiana(PMKSY) and Scheme for Promotion of National Agricultural Market were approved by - CCEA

    Among the Important National Current Affairs, On 2nd July 2015, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yoiana(PMKSY) and Scheme for Promotion of National Agricultural Market were approved by CCEA (Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs).

    Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yoiana(PMKSY) was approved with an outlay of 50000 crore rupees over a period of five years, that is, from 2015-16 to 2019-20 and the allocation for the financial year 2015-16 has been kept at 5300 crore rupees.

    Promotion of National Agricultural Market envisages creation of a common electronic platform deployable in 585 regulated markets across the country with an outlay of 200 crore rupees from 2015-16 to 2017-18.
