    Name of the player who won inaugural FIA Formula E Championship title - Nelson Piquet Jr

    On 28th June 2015, Brazilian racer Nelson Piquet Jr clinched FIA Formula E Championship title of the 2014-15 season. He was driving for Chinese team Nextev.

    On 15th June 2015, A book authored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam & Arun Tiwari was released with the name of "Transcendence: My Spiritual Experiences with Pramukh Swamiji".

    Name of the writer who has been chosen for 28th Moorti Devi Award - Vishwanath Tripathi

    On 27th June 2015, Noted Writer Vishwanath Tripathi was chosen for 28th Moorti Devi Award for the year 2014. He was selected for his book Vyomkesh Darvesh, which is a lifetime story of Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi.

    World's biggest employers report was released by - World Economic Forum Study

    World Economic Forum released a report on world's biggest employers. As per the report US department of defense is the world's biggest employer with over over 3.2 million employees and People's Liberation Army of China is on second spot with 2.3 million employees while US supermarket giant Walmart is on third spot with 2.1 million workers.

    As far as India is concerned then, Indian Railways is at eight place with 1.4 million staff then its Indian Armed Forces with 1.3 million people on 9th Place.

    On 29th June 2015, National Statistics Day was observed in India with an theme of "Social Development".

    It is observed on  birth anniversary of late Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis who was Indian Bengali scientist and applied statistician.

    Shimla drinking water project was approved for - World Bank funding

    On 29th June 2015, Union Government approved 643 crore rupees drinking water and sewerage project for Shimla town for World Bank funding. In which 514 crore rupees loan will be provided by World bank and rest will be provided by state over a project period of three years.

    India and Thailand signed five MoU's during - 7th Meeting of India-Thailand Joint Commission

    Among the Important National Current Affairs, On 29th June 2015, India and Thailand inked 5 MoU's during the 7th Meeting of India-Thailand Joint Commission in Bangkok. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Gen Tanasak Patimapragor signed these MoU's on the three day visit of Sushma Swaraj to Thailand (From 27th to 29th June).

    These MoU's are : 

    • Agreed Minutes of the Seventh Meeting of the Thailand-India Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation
    • Exchange of Instruments of Ratification of the Treaty on Extradition
    • Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Nalanda University
    • Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to taxes on Income
    • MoU on the Establishment of the "Academic Chair" in Ayurveda
