UPSC Forest Service Examination 2015

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold preliminary screening test for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2015 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 23rd August 2015. 

Following are the other required details for UPSC Forest Service Examination 2015 : 

Total Posts : Approx 110,

Age Limit : 21 years to 32 years as on 1st Aug 2015. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates.

Educational Qualification : Bachelor's degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Number of attempts :  The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as 

(i) General Category - 6 attempts, 

(ii) OBC - 9 attempts 

(iii) SC/ST - No limit

Online Application Submission : Interested candidates need to apply online till 19th June 2015. 

Exam Fee : Candidates need to deposit Rs.100/- (No fee for Female/ SC/ST/PH candidates) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
