• Tips: IGNOU OPENMAT Entrance Exam

    One of the common MBA entrance test i.e. IGNOU  - OPENMAT XL: IGNOU has released the notification for MBA Entrance Test - OPENMAT XL for admission to the various Management Programs, which is starting from the month January.

    • MBA (Master in Business Administration)

    • DIM (Diploma in Management)

    • PGDIM (PG Diploma in Management)

    • PGDHRM (PG Diploma in Human Resource Management)

    • PGDFM (PG Diploma in Financial Management)

    • PGDOM (PG Diploma in Operations Management)

    • PGDMM (PG Diploma in Marketing Management)

    • PGDFMP (Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Markets Practice)

    Know About Eligibility Criteria - 

    • A candidate should must be at least Graduate in any discipline with about 50% marks for general category/45% for reserved category, with 3 years managerial/supervisory/professional experience (or);

    • Also professional degree with 50% marks in Engineering/Medicine/Chartered Accountancy (ICAI)/Cost and Works Accountancy (ICWA)/Company Secretary ship (ICSI)/Law.

    • Need clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU.

    • Don’t forget that there is no age bar for admission to the above program.

    What is the validity of OPENMAT Score?

    Candidates who have qualified for admission on the basis of their score obtained in the Entrance Test (OPENMAT) will be eligible to seek admission into Management Programme in any of the following two semesters, which is either in January or in July Semester.

    Must Read Admission Procedure – 

    It’s not so easy to pass this exam, admission to the Management Programme (MBA, DIM, PGDIM and PG Diplomas in HRM, FM, OM, MM and FMP) will be done on the basis of your score, which you have obtained in the OPENMAT, conducted all over India twice a year as per above schedule.

    Also, a result card will be sent to all the candidates who have appeared in the OPENMAT Exam.

    This will clearly indicate whether the candidate has qualified or not qualified for admission on the basis of cut-off score as decided by the University. 

    However, after qualifying in OPENMAT a learner will have to apply for admission on the specified APPLICATION FORM (Form 2) which is given in the Prospectus along with the required documents to the Regional Director concerned.
