    Who has been awarded with the AIFF 2014 Player of the Year trophy in men and women category - Sunil Chhetri and Bala Devi

    On 13th February 2015, Sunil Chhetri Indian men’s football team captain and striker Bala Devi were awarded with the All India Football Federations (AIFF) 2014 Player of the Year trophy in men and women category, respectively. Some others awarded with AIFF awards are :

    • Emerging Player of the Year 2014: Sandesh Jhingan
    • Best Referee 2014: Santosh Kumar
    • Best Assistant Referee 2014: Sappam Kennedy
    • Best Grassroots Programme 2014: Western India Football Association (WIFA)
    • Contribution to Indian Football: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)

    Researchers had found a 3D Vaccine for which disease - Cancer and infectious diseases

    In December 2014, Researchers had found a 3D Vaccine for Cancer and infectious diseases. The vaccine is able to self-constructed into a 3D structure and manipulate immune cells. The vaccine is constitued of nanoscale silica rods, once inside the body, the rods group together into a scaffold-like structure able to draw in immune cells and teach them how to take on threats to the body rather than introducing a weakened version of the disease in order to expose the immune system to it.

    Who has sworned in as the Cheif Minister of Delhi - Arvind Kejriwal

    On 14th February 2015, Arvind Kejriwal sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at Ramlila Ground, Delhi, administered the oath of office and secrecy. Six other party members Asim Ahmed Khan, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Gopal Rai, Sandeep Kumar and Jitendra Tomar were administered oath as Cabinet Ministers. On the advice of the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, six AAP leaders were administered as ministers :

    Who has won the gold in 800m in 35th National Games - Tintu Luka

    On 13th February 2015, Tintu Lukka, Middle-distance runner, won gold in 800m in 35th National Games. She has broke the 18 years old record of Rosa Kutty of Kerala in 800m race. Tintu finished the race in 2:01.86 sec to win gold. Gomathi Marimuthu of Tamil Nadu won silver with a timing of 2:05.09 sec and Kerala's Markose with a timing of 2:06.37 sec won bronze.

    Name the missile successfully test-fired from INS Kolkata - Brahmos Missile

    On 14 February 2015, Brahmos Missile successfully test-fired from INS Kolkata. With a range of 290 kilometers BrahMos missile can carry a conventional warhead of up to 300 kilograms and three times faster than the US subsonic Tomahawk cruise missile with a speed of Mach 2.8. With this speed BrahMos has become one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world. It can be launched from land, ships, aircraft and submarines.

    RBI has decided to bring back which rupee note - One rupees

    On 13th February 2015, The Reserve Bank of India announced that one rupees note will be back soon.

    Details of these notes

    • Obverse: These notes will contain the words Bharat Sarkar above the words Government of India with the bilingual signature of Finance Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and with the replica of New Rupee One coin with symbol of 2015 issued with Satyamev Jayate and capital insert letter ‘L’ in numbering panel.
    • Reverse: On the reverse side of the note the words Bharat Sarkar above the words Government of India with the year 2015 on the representation of One Rupee coin with symbol having floral design and the surrounding design will consist of the picture of Sagar Samrat - the oil exploration platform and with the authentic rendering of value in fifteen Indian language in language panel and the year figure shown in the centre bottom in international number.
    • Overall Colour Scheme: One Rupee Currency Note will be predominantly pink green on obverse and reverse in combination with others.

    Name the four SAARC leaders called by PM Narendra Modi to initiate Cricket diplomacy - Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan

    On 13th February 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called four SAARC leaders, namely Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka to wish for 2015 Cricket World Cup. PM Narendra Modi Modi called and wished luck to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani, President of Sri Lanka Maithiripala Sirisena and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
