    When was International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations observed - 24th March

    Among Important Days, On 24th March 2016, International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations was observed across the globe.
    United Nations General Assembly adopted this day on 21 December 2010 with aim to pay tribute to those who have devoted their lives to, and lost their lives in, the struggle to promote and protect human rights.
    Why only 24th March ?
    Because on 24 March 1980 human rights crusader Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero, of El Salvador, was assasinated.

    UNSC extended mandate of UN Assistance Mission until March 2017 to which country - Somalia

    Among International Currnet Affairs, On 24th March 2016, UNSC extended the UN Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) till 31 March 2017. It was done after a resolution was approved by all 15 members of the council.

    These leaders were chosen after a poll by the readers. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos topped this list. Chief Minister of Delhi
    Arvind Kejriwal was ranked at 42nd position for his contribution ttowards curbing pollution.
