    51st Raising Day was celebrated by – BSF

    Among Important National Current Affairs, BSF which means The Border Security Force, the biggest border guarding force in the world celebrated its 51st Anniversary of Raising Day. 

    Here for BSF veterans and personnel during the Raising Day celebrations various cultural programmes were organised. 

    However, on this occasion Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh presented prestigious “Maharana Pratap Trophy- 2016” on the BSF Punjab Frontier.

    Yoga now on UNESCO’s list of - Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity 

    Among Important National Current Affairs, Yoga which is India’s one of the ancient practices to keep oneself healthy has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

    However, it was inscribed on the list during the 11th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

    Also, the declaration describing Yoga as a Human Treasure got unanimous support of the 24 members of the Committee.

    Union HRD Ministry launches - Vittiya Saksharata Abhiyan 

    VISAKA, which means Vittiya Saksharata Abhiyan was launched by the Union Ministry for Human Resource Development (HRD) to make people aware about cashless economic system.

    However, Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi launched this abhiyan. It is a campaign by Higher Educational institutions for digital econmy.
