IBPS PO CWE known to be an Objective type online paper which covers around five subjects –- Reasoning

2. SBI PO Syllabus - Detailed Exam Pattern for Pre & Main
Answer: SBI PO Syllabus 2016 has been announced with Exam pattern - SBI PO 2016 New Revised Pattern and Detailed syllabus : Preliminary Examination - Preliminary Examination includes Objective Tests for 100 marks, which will be conducted online. This Preliminary test will be scheduled for 1 hour duration and it consists of 3 Sections as given below: Total Time will be 3 Hour and Total Marks 100 Main Examination: Main Examination will include Objective Tests for 200 marks and also Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both these Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks) This section will have problems on - The reasoning section is of high level and it includes - Problems on following topics are asked. This section has question which are of easy, moderate level. Only better preparation of this section's topics can make a candidate to score more. Questions on Questions based on Computer basics, fundamentals, software, hardware, operating system, shortcut keys, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel shortcuts, Internet & networks are asked. From last year 2015, it will be totally online. Candidates have to type their answers on computer. Group discussion will carry 20 marks and interview will be of 30 marks. The candidates who qualify in both tests will be called for group discussion and interview. Study Tip : Please make a time table for all subjects and follow it. Practice quetsions to be more confident.
State Bank of India is all set to conduct written examination for Probationary Officer posts.
From last year 2015, SBI had changed the pattern of PO exam. Now there will be 3 phases instead of 2.
Phase 1 will conducts screening of non-serious candidates to remove the competition.
In Phase 2, main exam will be conducted consisting of written as well as descriptive paper.
The number of candidates, who qualifies phase 2 is further tested with Group discussion and Interview.

SBI PO 2016 Exam Pattern ( new ):Phase-1 :
All candidates who are applying for this have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks, which is to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.
SBI PO Syllabus 2016Phase – 2 :
The he candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing minimum passing marks, which to be decided by the Bank.
(i) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 3 hour duration includes 4 Sections (Total 200 marks) as follows:

The candidates have to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, which is to be decided by the Bank.
(ii) Descriptive Test : The Descriptive Test which is of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, which is also to be decided by the Bank.
NOTE: Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.Phase – 3 :
The aggregate marks of candidates who are qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview also. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion &Interview will be as decided by the Bank only.
Now, let’s talk about Final Selection:
The marks which are obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-1) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-2) will be added to the marks obtained in GD & Interview (Phase-3) for preparation of the final merit list.
The candidates will also have to qualify both in Phase-2 and Phase-3 separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25.
However, the final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
This is the 2016 syllabus of SBI PO exam officially provided by SBI. Those candidates who to qualify this test, would have to prepare as per the syllabus given above.
