    CDS - Dates for Exam I & II

    As we know, UPSC – Union Public Service Commission is known to be one of the most important and well popularized organizations that conduct various examinations and CDS is also one of them.

    However, every year large number of candidates appears in this examination.

    If we talk about the examinations schedule then CDS Exam I will be conducted on February, and Exam II in October. Also, the online registration starts from November so all the interested candidates can go through the mandatory details regarding CDS and start applying for the same after release of official notice.

    CDS Eligibility Criteria –

    Qualification

    ·       Interested candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

    ·       Candidate must have done Engineering from a well-known university or institution.

    ·       All candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (Physics and Chemistry in 10+2) or BTech.

    ·       Please Note: Candidates who are appearing in the final year, they can also apply for CDS Examination.

    Age Limit

    ·      Indian Maritime Academy (IMA) candidate’s (Unmarried Male) age should be between 18 to 22 years.

    ·      Indian Naval Academy (INA) candidate’s (Unmarried Male) age should be between 18 to  22 years.

    ·       Indian Air force Academy (IAF) candidate’s (Unmarried Male) age should be between 18 to 22 years.

    ·    Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men) candidate’s (Unmarried/ Married Male) age should be between 18 to 22 years.

    ·   Officers Training Academy candidate’s (Unmarried/ Widows/ Divorcees) age should be between 18 to 22 years.

    Nationality

    ·       India Citizen

    ·       Bhutan Citizen

    ·       Nepal Citizen

    ·     Also the Tibetan refugee who had come in India before 1st January 1962 and must have permanent living prove.

    Process to apply for this exam –

    ·       Firstly, visit the official website.

    ·       From this website, you can get the application form link.

    ·       Now, open it and start filling the details.

    ·      General Category and Male candidates need to pay Rs. 200, whereas reserved category candidates and Women do not need to pay any fee.

    ·       For your information, the form will be filled in two parts. In the first half, you need to fill up the details and in second half you can proceed with payment procedure.

    How to get the CDS Admit Card -

    ·   The CDS admit cards of will be available online from the month of January only.

    ·   Please Note: The examination will be conducted in the first week of February.

    ·   Also, the applicants who have applied for CDS I will be able to download their admit cards only through online mode from the official website of UPSC. Admit cards will not be sent by post.

    Important Dates -

    ·       The notification is out in –  first week of August

    ·       Final date for submitting the application form –  First week of September

    ·       The CDS Exam will be conducted on – second half of October
