    CLAT – How to crack the exam?

    As we all know, The CLAT – Common Law Admission Test is known as one of the most important and very popular entrance examination. 

    Each and every year CLAT examination gets conducted. It is also a national level entrance examination as it helps in the admission in further UG and PG Law courses. 

    This examination also gets conducted for the duration of about 2 hours. Also in this text there will be multiple type questions, which will be based on General Knowledge, Math, English and Legal & Logical Reasoning. 

    Please Note – To apply for this examination, you must be 12th passed out. 

    Here are the Important Dates for CLAT (Tentative) -

    • The application forms will be available –1st week of January to last week of March 

    • Dead line for online submitting the application form is the last week of March 

    • Admit cards will be available till Mid of April 

    • The date of examination for CLAT– is from 1st to 2nd week of May

    • And the result will be out between – 3rd to 4th week of May

    • Admission process will start from the 4th week of May to 1st week of July

    • Admission duration will closed on 1st week of July 

    How to Apply for CLAT – 

    • First and foremost, go to the official website in order to apply for CLAT. 

    • However, except online registration, candidate can not apply via any other application mode.

    Here are the details of Application Fee –

    • Candidate from general category need to pay Rs. 4000/-

    • Candidate from reserved category need to pay Rs. 3500/-

    • Payment must be made via online mode using net banking or debit card or credit card.

    CLAT Syllabus – Have a look

    Those applicants, who are going to appear for CLAT 2017, firstly they must check the examination syllabus before starting the preparation. 

    CLAT syllabus covers all the sections of English, GK, Legal Aptitude, Current Affairs, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. The GK & Current Affairs sections are of 50 marks each, while English section including comprehension, logical reasoning consisting 40 marks each. The mathematics section will be of 20 marks only.

    Examination Pattern of CLAT - 

    • For UG Courses– This test will be conducted only for 2 hours. There will be total 200 multiple answer type questions. You will get one mark for each accurate answer and if your answer is wrong, 1/4th marks will be deducted.

    • For PG Courses– There will be 150 multiple choice questions in this test.

    • All the candidates need to finish this test in the duration of 2 hours only. For each accurate answer candidates will get one mark and for each wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted.

    How to get CLAT Admit Card -

    The admit cards for CLAT examination will be available online on their official website from the month of April. However, the applicants are advised to bring the ID proof along with their admit card at their respective examination center. The admit card will have all the important details related to examination, which includes examination date & time, examination center, applicant’s name, roll number, applicant’s signature, thumb impression etc.
