    State Bank of India Clerk Eligibility: State Bank of India recruits Citizens of India for appointment in Clerical Cadre in State Bank of India. Candidates willing to gain eligibility to apply for Clerical post must satisfy the below eligibility criteria.

    1. Nationality:Candidate must be an Indian Citizen
    2. Age Limit:Candidate’s age must fall between 20 years and 28 years as on 01-04-2016. Applicants born between 02-04-1988 and 01-04-1996 (both days inclusive) are only eligible. Age relaxations shall be extended as per government guidelines.
    3. Educational Edifications:

    Junior Associate:  from a deemed university or equally qualified/ recognized University such as by Central Government.

    For Junior Agricultural Associate : Desiring applicant must be a graduate in Agriculture / Agriculture related activities from a Government affiliated university/ Institution.

    Pointer : Aspiring candidates who are in the final year of Graduation/ Semester may also appear provisionally in effect to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to give validation of having passed the Graduation Examination.

     SBI Clerk’s Job Profile – Role and Duties

    • Workforce inside the withdrawal & deposit counters are generally of clerical grade. This is the core reason many banks prefer to mention clerk as single window operator.
    • Major roles of SBI Clerk include accepting payments, sanctioning withdrawals, validating cheques, issuing demand drafts & other banking related services to their patrons.
    • Back office work consists of collection stubs , ledger maintenance, book keeping , balance tally & other transactions must be updated in the computer systems after the office hours.

    In addition to the above mentioned job responsibilities, clerks may also have to take care of marketing of financial products of bank such as loans, deposits, schemes to visitors .
