    Reserve Bank of India regulates the recruitment examination for RBI grade B officers every year and millions of aspirants apply for the desired position. RBI has released the official announcement for online application for the post of RBI grade B officer.

     Preparation Tips & Strategy for RBI Grade B Quantitative Aptitude Component

    One should not spend more time than 20-25 minutes on this particular section of paper. When you start preparing for it, pay special attention on Data Interpretation and Analysis Questions as it covers 60% of the exam. Commence with simplifying the given data and reducing it to numbers that can be framed in form of answers as per the question asked in paper.

    In the examination try to start with “Number Systems” so you can learn the basic concepts of Quantitative Aptitude which will help you ease the examination process.     • It is always advisable to learn tables and squares till 30, cube till 15, cube roots upto 10 and fractions upto 15, which helps you in overall examination.     RBI Grade B Officers - Age Limit Criteria

    1. The Aspirant must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years. For Aspirants possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively for successful qualification.

    2 The upper age-limit prescribed above is relax-able:

    (i) Maximum up-to of 5 years for candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe category if the posts are reserved for them;

    (ii) Maximum up-to 3 years in the case of aspirants belonging to Other Backward Classes who are entitled to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates if the posts are reserved for them;

    (iii) Up to a maximum of 5 years for ex-personnel of banking institutions whose services had to be terminated for reasons of economy or as a result of bank going into liquidation and personnel retrenched from Government Offices after at least 1 year service and currently registered with Employment Exchange,

    (iv) Up to a maximum of 5 years if a Aspirant had ordinarily been settled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989 as well;

    (v) Up to a maximum of 5 years in the case of ex- legionnaire including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years Military Service and have been released;

    1. on accomplishment of assignment (including those whose assignment are due to be completed within one year, otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inneffectual; or
      b. on account of physical Affliction attributable to Military Service; or
      c. on in-validment of the same.

    (vi) Maximum upto of 5 years in the case of ECOs/SSCOs who have successfully completed an initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service and whose assignment has been extended beyond 5 years and in whose case the Ministry of Defense issues a accreditation that they can apply for civil employment and that they will be released on 3 months’ notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of engagement.

    (vii) up to a maximum of ten years in the case of Persons with Affliction.
