    Who is awarded with the best Marching Contingents Trophy for Republic Day Parade 2015 - The Brigade of The Guards and the Sikh Regiment

    On 11th February 2015, best Marching Contingents Trophy for Republic Day Parade 2015 was awarded to The Brigade of The Guards and the Sikh Regiment. Chairman Chief of Staff Committee, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha presented the award during an award ceremony held at Ministry of Defence. Apart from this, cash awards were also presented to the contingents of the Brigade of the Guards and Sikh Regiment in a separate ceremony.

    Which Government has launched the Micro Business Credit Card - West Bengal Government

    On 11th February 2015, Micro Business Credit Card was launched by West Bengal Chief Minister (CM) Mamata Banerjee with the State Bank of India to boost the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in the state. Small and medium entrepreneurs will be able to avail the cash credit or loan up to 5 lakh rupees for their business activities, even without collateral security with the help of this card. State government has created a fund of 200 crore rupees for this purpose. State Bank of India initiated this support.

    India Cements Limited transferred the franchise of which team to CSKC Limited - Chennai Super Kings

    On 11th February 2015, Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings Cricket (CSK) franchise was transferred to its new subsidiary Chennai Super Kings Cricket (CSKC) Limited by India Cements Limited. India Cements Vice-Chairman and Managing Director (MD) N Srinivasan made this decision in Board of Directors meeting held in Chennai. Free shares of Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd will be given to 97000 shareholders of India Cements in proportion to the shares they currently hold in the company.

    In January 2015, four new species of fish discovered in Kerala namely Systomus rufus, Puntius nigronotus, Systomus chryseusand and Puntius nelsoni. Mathews Plamoottil, a zoology professor at Baby John Memorial Government College in Kollam discovered these fishes.

    About four new Fish species

    • Puntius Nelson: Color of the body and fins of this fish are yellowish. Its snout is shorter, the mouth is wider and head is deeper.
    • Puntius Nigronotus: It has more rays and dorsal fin and black in colour. Its lateral line scales are greater than its relatives.
    • Systomus Chryseus: Its pectoral fin is elongated one and is golden in colour.
    • Systomus Rufus: Its fins are red in colour and was discovered at Venpala near Thiruvalla district.

    Name the Project launched by Himachal Pradesh Government - Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System

    On 11th February 2015, a project named Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System was launched by the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh of Himachal pradesh. This Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System will help in connecting 177 sites and 114 police stations in the state besides 26 sub-divisional police officers, 13 district headquarters and three police ranges along with state crime records bureau along with the CID crime branch, 16 CCTNS training centers, 14 control rooms, forensic science laboratory and finger print bureau in the state. Via citizen portal people will be able to make use of general services such as request for verifications, permissions and certificates.

    On 12th February 2015, the 7th round of India Kenya Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meet was held in New Delhi. The two sides agreed upon the following -

    • To strengthen the cooperation in the fields of bilateral investment, tourism, SMEs, pharmaceuticals, health, energy, skill development & entrepreneurship, agriculture and infrastructure.
    • The two sides also agreed to meet often to ensure enhancement of bilateral trade and mutual cooperation.
