    Amazon India Most Attractive Employer Brands in India 2019   by  - Randstad Employer Brand Research

    As per to a study conducted by Randstad Employer Brand Research, e-commerce group Amazon India has been ranked as India’s most ‘attractive employer brand, after Microsoft India which emerged as the runner-up.

    Key Findings of Study

    Top 10 most attractive employer brands in India for 2019 comprises

    1) Amazon

    2) Microsoft

    3) Sony

    4) Mercedes-Benz

    5) IBM

    6) L&T

    7) Nestle

    8) Infosys

    9) Samsung

    10) Dell.

    The Randstad studied for year 2019 covered 75 per cent of global economy with 32 participating nations & more than 2 lakh respondents universally.

    For the Indian workforce, while choosing an employer salary & employee benefits continue to be top driver, after work-life balance & job security.

    Although the gender differences between males & females on top 3 aspects were minimal, but females, attributed more reputation to salary & benefits & work-life balance as compared to their male counterparts who ranked these as top aspects at 46% & 46% correspondingly.

    33rd Federation Cup Basketball Tournament 2019 in - Greater Noida

    At the 33rd Federation Cup Basketball Championship for Men & Women organised over the past week in Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida, Punjab Police & Eastern Railway secured the men’s & women’s titles individually.

    It was organised by Basketball Federation of India & Uttar Pradesh Basketball Association. The Federation Cup was organised from 12th-16th June, 2019 at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida.

    Key Highlights

    Punjab Police secured the match by winning over Indian Army with 91-71 points. The bulk of scoring was done by Harshpreet Singh Bhullar, Amjyot Singh & Ranbir Singh.

    Eastern Railway secured the women’s titles by defeating Tamil Nadu with 86-67 points after leading 46-42 at half time. Primarily in League phase, Tamil Nadu had defeated Eastern Railway but final saw a thrilling performance by M.J. Libina & the India’s tallest women basketball player Poonam Chaturvedi headed an easy victory over Tamil Nadu.

    Most Valuable Players Men’s award for Harshpreet Singh Bhullar, Punjab Police in Men’s title.

    Most Valuable Players Women’s awarded to M.J. Libina, Eastern Railway in Women’s title.

    Men’s Final 1st position to Punjab Police, 2nd position to Indian Army, 3rd position to Income Tax, Chennai.

    Women’s Final: 1st position to Eastern Railway, 2nd position to Tamil Nadu 67, & 3rd to Kerala.

    Kiran Rijiju, Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports presented the trophies to winning team & the top 3 teams were given sum of Rupees 1 Lakh, Rs. 50000 & Rs. 25000 respectively.
