    Punyabhushan Award was conferred by President to - Prataprao Pawar

    On 26th June 2015, Chairman of Sakal Media Group (SMG) Prataprao Pawar was honoured with Punyabhushan Award by President Pranab Mukharjee. Thus he became 27th recipient of this award. A committee led by scientist Raghunath Mashelkar had selected his name for this award. Award was given in a function held at Balgandharva Auditorium in Pune.

    Parliament of which country was dissolved of which country - Sri Lanka

    Among the International Current Affairs, On 26th June 2015, President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena dissolved the Parliament of Sri Lanka as he signed a gazette notification dissolving parliament. Parliament was dissolved in an effort to consolidate power and push through political reforms.

    As of now there was a coalition government that was appointed for a period of 100-days after the presidential election. Now on 17th August 2015, elections will be held to elect a new President.

    Weather-based crop insurance scheme for three districts of Maharashtra was launched by - Bajaj Allianz

    Among the National Current Affairs On 28th June 2015, A weather-based crop insurance scheme was launched by Private insurer Bajaj Allianz for three districts of Maharashtra. These are Nagpur, Hingoli and Washim. This scheme will be covering Orange Crops. 

    On the basis of pre-defined and government-approved term sheets and actual weather data received from an approved automatic weather station installed in each block of these districts the losses will be accessed so that farmers can be compensation in case of any loss.

    All the farmers who have taken loan through the kissan credit card (KCC) will automatically get insured under this scheme while others will have to get themself enrolled by visiting Bank.

    Gutta-Ponappa duo won which women's double title - Canada Open Badminton tournament 2015

    Among the Important Sports Current Affairs, On 28th June 2015, Jwala Gutta and Ashwni Ponappa from India, clinched women's doubles of Canada Open Badminton tournament 2015. They defeated Eefje Muskens and Selena Piek by 21-19 and 21-16 to claim this title.

    Narendra Singh Tomar who was accused in the high-profile MPPEB scam died in an Indore jail. It was the 24th death of those named as accused or witnesses in connection with a plethora of criminal cases registered in connection with the scam. 

    GFH Financial Group signed pact with which group for developing Mumbai Economic Zone - Adani Group

    On 28th June 2015, GFH Financial Group of Bahrain signed an agreement with Adani Group for developing a Mumbai Economic Development Zone.
