World Hepatitis Day observed globally on - 28th July

On 28th July 2018, The World Hepatitis Day was observed across the globe. This is an annual event which is being observed with an aim to spread awareness about Hepatitis.

Theme of World Hepatitis Day 2018 was "Test. Treat. Hepatitis".

Since 2010 this day is being observed annually, as in May 2010 WHO passed resolution for observance of this day. Important to mention here that 28th July was chosen as it is birth anniversary of Professor Baruch Blumberg who had discovered hepatitis B virus.

Longest Lunar Eclipse of century was witnessed on July 27-28, 2018. Total eclipse lasted up to 2 hours and 43 minutes. During this time moon was located at apogee in its orbit and moved at slower speed.
