    PM Modi meets Japanese PM in -  G20 Summit

    PM Narendra Modi met Japanese PM Shinzo Abe in advance of the 2 days G20 Summit that will occur in Osaka on June 28th. He will be meeting numerous world leaders, including United States President Donald Trump. He will also have a trilateral meeting on the side-lines of the summit with Russian andChinese Presidents Vladimir Putin andXi Jinping, individually.
    Prime Minister Modi in his departure statement informed that matters including women empowerment ,  AI andcommon efforts to address challenges including terrorism will be high on his agenda.
    PM Modi meets Japanese PM

    • Prime Minister Narendra Modi andJapanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hold talks in Osaka. This is the 1st such meeting between these leaders since the beginning of Japan's Reiwa era.
    • Indian Prime Minister is seeking to the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to India later this year for the yearly summit.
    • Many aspects of India-Japan ties were discussed during the meeting.
      G20 Summit Participants
      The participants are leaders from 19 nations andthe EU. The 19 nations are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Republic of
      Korea, Republic of South Africa, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UK, USA. In addition, leaders of
      invited guest nations andrepresentatives of guest international groups taking part in the summit
      along with leaders from the G20 members.

    Actress-Director, Vijaya Nirmala, died on - 27th June 2019

    Veteran Telugu actress anddirector Vijaya Nirmala decreased in a Hyderabad hospital on June 27th, 2019. She was 75 years old. Her son, actor Naresh, declared her death on Twitter and expressed that the last rites will be organised on June 28th.
    Naresh wrote that he regret to inform all that his Mother senior Artiste, prominent Producer and
    Director, Dr.G Vijayanirmala Garu  passed away during early hours that day, that is, 27.6.2019, at
    Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad, due to sickness.
    Vijaya Nirmala appeared in above 200 movies in Telugu, Tamil andMalayalam, anddirected 44
    Telugu movies. Vijaya Nirmala is survived by her husband Krishna, son Naresh andstep-children,
    one of whom is actor Mahesh Babu.

    Telangana hosts 32nd ISTA Congress in - Hyderabad

    Telangana is holding the triennial International Seed Testing Association Congress in Hyderabad. International Seed Testing Association congress is being organised for the 1st time in Asia. The Congress being organised from 26th June to 3rd July 2019 is believed to assist State to execute its plans into actions.
    Key Highlights

    • The 8 days conference is being mutually hosted by Ministry of Agriculture andFarmers’ Welfare and Telangana government.
    • The congress will have main programme for 3 days andtechnical committee meetings, sessions
      over next five days.
    • More than 400 specialists, policymakers, scientists andmembers of seed industry from above 80
      nations counting the United Kingdom, South Africa, Argentina, New Zealand, Canada andAustria,
      will talk on seed policies, production andquality features.
    • Conference will be appeared by worldwide shareholders representing seed production,
      processing, seed testing labs, biotechnology andrelated organisations that will be demonstrate their products, solutions andservices andwill also deliberate recent progresses in seed research andin seed technology.
    • Workshops are being organised during the programme, would emphasis on varietal identification,
      seed sampling, purity, germination andmoisture.

    Who is newly appointed RAW Chief ? - Samanat Goel

    The Appointments Committee of Cabinet led by PM Narendra Modi sanctioned selection of senior
    IPS officer Samant Kumar Goel as Director of RAW, external intelligence of India. He has been
    designated for a fixed tenure of 2 years. He will take charge from Anil K Dhasmana.

    Annual Health Assistance to Loktantra Senanis announced by - Haryana CM 

    CM Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, has declared a yearly financial health help of Rupees Five lakh
    to loktantra senanis/their spouse for treatment at private/government hospitals.
    Key Highlights

    • Loktantra Senanis are people who were prisoned during 1975-1977 Emergency under preventive
      detention laws.
    • According to the new alterations suggested by Haryana government, the term Emergency Victim
      on their identity cards would be substituted with Loktantra Senani.
    • Loktantra Senanis, who went to jail during the Satyagraha Movement in emergency, are previously
      provided a monthly pension of Rupees 10000 by the state government andalso free travel in the
      Haryana Roadways buses.
      About Indian Emergency of 1975-1977
      Indian Emergency that beginning from 25 June 1975 continued for a 21-month period up to 21
      March 1977.
      Then President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, upon guidance by PM Indira Gandhi, announced a state of
      national emergency under Article 352 of Indian Constitution.
    • Once emergency was announced it successfully conferred on PM the power to rule by decree, suspending elections andcivil rights.
