    In which state President rule was imposed - Uttarakhand

    Among Important National Current Affairs, On 27th March 2016, President Rule was imposed in Uttarakhand after a recommendation of the Union Cabinet.
    So Congress government was dismissed which was headed by Harish Rawat.
    Nine congress legislators with former CM Vijay Bahuguna pulled back their support so ruling congress patry came in minority as it need atleast support of 36 legislators to run government. (Total seats are 70).

    Padma awards 2016 were confered to 56 awardees by - President Pranab Mukherjee

    On 28th March 2016, 56 eminent personalities were conferred with Padma Awards 2016 by President Pranab Mukherjee at Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
    Important to mention here that, total five Padma Vibhushan, eight Padma Bhushan and 43 Padma Shri awards were presented.

    Health Minister JP Nadda launched which vaccine as part of Universal Immunization Programme - Rotavirus vaccine

    Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J P Nadda launched the rotavirus vaccine as part of the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), it will be introduced initially in four states viz. Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and then will be extened to other states.
