    On 29th January 2015, Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel initiated the Taluka Planning Atlas (TPA) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.The objective of TPA is to enable the local administration in taking functional decisions about the development in respective regions by providing precise information about the status of various facilities and schemes.

    On 30th January 2015, Anti-Leprosy Day is noticed nationwide to concentrate on the disease which is also known as the Hansen’s disease. The day is celebrated in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi in order to remember his efforts and care for the people suffering from the infectious disease leprosy. 55% of the leprosy cases in world are in India. this day is observed to help those affected by disease and make the diseased person mentally strong and help them to cope up with physical impairments of skin sores and nerve damage.

He was Scientist-G and Head of Knowledge Management Centre at International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Department of Science and Technology at Hyderabad.

    Who had released the Global Investment Trend Monitor Report - UNCTAD

    Among National Current Affairs, On 29th January 2015, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) released the Global Investment Trend Monitor Report. The report underlined that Global Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows had reduced by 8% in 2014 to an estimated 1.26 trillion US dollars due to the weakness of the global economy, political uncertainty and geopolitical risks. In 2014, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flow in India expanded by 26 percent to an estimated 35 billion US dollar with maximum growth in the services sector, despite the decrease in global FDI inflows. 

    Who was appointed as the Chairman of Shriram Transport Finance Co. Ltd - S Lakshminarayanan

    On 29th January 2015, S Lakshminarayanan was appointed as the Chairman of Shriram Transport Finance Co. Ltd. It is India's largest truck financing company. The decision was taken during a board meeting of the company held at Colombo on 24 January 2015. He is a retired IAS officer.

    Who was appointed as the coach of National men hockey team - Paul van Ass

    Among the important appointments, On 30th January 2015, Paul van Ass was appointed as the head Coach of Indian men's hockey team. He is the Former coach of Dutch National Hockey team. Excluding this Anthony Thornton of New Zealand was appointed as the coach of National women’s hockey team. Both Van Ass and Thornton were awarded a three-year agreement till 2018. India will present the 2018 men's Hockey World Cup.

    On 30th January 2015, Union Ministry for Communications & Information Technology released the Commemorative Postage stamps on the theme of Swachh Bharat Mission. The Swachh Bharat Mission was launched by the PM Narendra Modi on 2 October 2014, on the Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
