    For solar photovoltaic projects how much money SBI got from World Bank - $625 mn

    Among Important Financial Current Affairs, On 2nd July 2016, State Bank of India inked agreement with World Bank to get $625-million with an aim to support grid connected rooftop solar programme in India.
    Now SBI will able to finance these projects at very competitive rates.
    With this money and initiative 400 MW solar capacity will be created in India. This agreement was inked by Deputy Managing Director of SBI Karnam Sekar and Country Director World Bank India Onno Ruhl.

    Who became new Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka - Indrajit Coomaraswamy

    Among Important International Current Affairs, On 2nd July 2016, Veteran economist of Sri Lanka Indrajit Coomaraswamy became new Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
    He succeeded Arjuna Mahendran for this one of top posts.
    Indrajit Coomaraswamy has got his early education from  Royal College, Colombo and the Harrow School in England then completed his undergraduate degree at Cambridge University and Doctorate from the University of Sussex.
    He was serving as adviser at the Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade at the time of appointment.
