    Who has been appointed as India's Ambassador to Lebanon - Sanjiv Arora

    IFS ( Indian Foreign Service ) Officer Mr. Sanjiv Arora was appointed as new Ambassador of India to the Republic of Lebanon. Lebanese Republic also known as Lebanon is in Western Asia.
    Important to mention here that he was serving as India's Ambassador to Qatar before this.

    Who won German Green Talent award - Shamik Chowdhury

    Shamik Chowdhury was awarded the German Green Talent Award. Shamik Chowdhury is an Indian researcher and he was among 25 young researchers who were honoured with this award.
    German Federal Ministry of Education and Research awarded him for his innovative approach in sustainable development, resource efficiency, cleaner production and eco-innovation.
    Shamik Chowdhury is pursuing PhD in environmental engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

    Seventh Session of the Conference of Parties will be hosted by - India

    Seventh Session of the Conference of Parties (COP7) will be hosted in India from 7th November to 12th November 2016. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mr. J P Nadda will inaugurate this conference at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
    The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the Governing Body of the WHO FCTC and is comprised of all Parties to the Convention.

    Which channel ordered to be taken off air for 24 hours - NDTV India

    One day ban on Hindi News Channel, NDTV India was asked by Inter-Ministerial Committee of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry for revealing strategically-sensitive information during its coverage of the anti-terror operations at the Pathankot airbase.
    As on 2nd January 2016 during the attack by terorrists, Inter-Ministerial Committee claimed that the channel revealed several confidential details like location of the ammunition depot, details of arms cache and fighter planes, details of schools and residential areas located around the airbase, endangering lives of both civilians and defense personnel.
    6 terrorists were killed while 7 Indian defence personnel were martyred during this operation.

    If the order does indeed get carried out then NDTV India will be off air from 12.01 A.M. of 9 November to 12.01 A.M. of 10 November 2016.
