    India’s GDP growth expected to be slower in 2016-17 at – 7.1%

    Among Important National Current Affairs, according to growth projection which is released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), India’s Gross Domestic Product i.e. GDP growth is expected to grow at a slower pace at 7.1% in  the year 2016-17 as compared to 7.6% in 2015-16. 

    However, this estimate is in sync with the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) economic growth forecast and is largely based on data from the first seven months of the year.  

    Also, the slowdown is chiefly due to an industrial slowdown.

    44th New Delhi which fair begins - World Book Fair

    Among Important National Current Affairs, The 44th edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair began at Pragati Maidan in national capital. 

    However, the theme for this edition of the event is ‘Manushi– Books Written on and by Women’. 

    Though, it was inaugurated by Union Minister of State (MoS) for Human Resources Development (Higher Education) Mahendra Nath Pandey.

    Government constitutes which committee to frame National Sports Code - Injeti Srinivas Committee

    Among Important National Current Affairs, The Union Sports Ministry has finally constituted committee with a reason to frame comprehensive National Sports Development Code across sports disciplines.

     However, it will be headed by Injeti Srinivas, Sports Secretary. 

    Also, the committee will study the existing sports governance frame work, issues relating to sports governance in the country, recent developments related to sports governance. 

    None the less, it will also study court judgments and international best practices and make recommendations on bringing out a comprehensive code across sports disciplines.
