Google CEO Larry Page named Business Person of the Year 2014
On 6th January 2015, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Google Mr. Larry Page was named as the Business person of the Year for 2014 by famous Fortune magazine.

This rank was given by magazine on the basis of various factors including company's performance, leadership style and total shareholder returns.
CEO of Apple Tim Cook was ranked second and Chairman and CEO of Gilead Sciences John C. Martin was ranked third in the list.
Tencent launched first private online bank of China named WeBank
On 6th January 2015, Internet giant of China Tencent Holdings Limited launched first online bank of China and was named as WeBank. It was launched with an aim to boost small businesses.
With the help of online bank they will be lowering costs for delivering practical benefits to small businesses.
National Sub-Junior Snooker title 2015 won by Ishpreet Singh Chadha
Among the important national sports current affairs, On 6th January 2015 won his first National Sub-Junior Snooker title 2015. He defeated Shobhit Sethi of Punjab by 3-0 in a final match to lift the title.
Ordinance to amend Citizenship Act, 1955 signed by President
On 6th January 2015, President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee signed the Ordinance that amends Citizenship Act, 1955 to provide life-long Indian visa facility to Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and exempts them from appearing before the local police station on every visit.

Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister had approved earlier the promulgation of ordinance to amend this Act, this bill was introduced in Lok Sabha on 23rd December 2014.
Noted actor Amitabh Bachchan named as the Brand Ambassador of AP health sector
On 6th January 2015, Noted Bollywood actor Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was named as the Brand Ambassador of Andhra Pradesh (AP) health sector. AP Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas announced this in Hyderabad. Now Mr. Bachchan will be participating in various health-related campaigns of AP government.
Commemorative coin released by Prime Minister to mark 175th birth anniversary of Jamsetji Tata
On 6th January 2015, PM Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin dedicated to Tata group founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata to mark his 175th birth anniversary.
In 1868 Tata Group was founded by Jamsetji Tata. Now TATA Group is 100 billion US dollar group which comprises of over 100 operating companies and has its operations in more than 100 countries across the globe.
