    Which scheme was notified by govt which will benefit 25 lakh war veterans and widows - OROP

    One Rank One Pension scheme for ex-servicemen was brought into force. It is exptected to benefit ovr 25 lakh veterans and war widows. 

    To begin with, pension would be re-fixed on the basis of pension of retirees of calendar year 2013 and the benefit will be effective with effect from July 1, 2014.

    Which country of West Africa was declared as Ebola free by WHO - Sierra Leone

    World Health Organization has declared Sierra Leone as an Ebola-free country. It is being seen as a major milestone as UN was backing the efforts to wipe out EBOLA from three western African countries, these three countries are Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

    President of China first ever met with President of - Taiwan

    Among the International Current Affairs, On 7th November 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping his Taiwanese counterpart Ma Ying-jeou held a meeting in Singapore. This was an important current affair as it was first ever meeting between top leaders of the two sides. 

    Since 1949 China had claimed sovereignty over Taiwan. The Chinese government claims Taiwan as part of its territory and threatens to counter any move to outright independence by military force. The relations between the two countries worsened Taiwan lost its seat at the United Nations (UN) to China in 1971.

    Joint-military exercise named ‘INDRA 2015’ started, Other than India which country is taking part into this - Russia

    On 20th November 2015, Joint-military exercise named ‘INDRA 2015’ was kicked off. India and Russia will be taking part in this. This is 7th edition of this excercise. This year it will be focusing on "Counter Terrorism Operations in Desert Terrain under a United Nations Mandate". 

    During the exercise, participants will engage in a variety of missions including joint planning, cordon and search operations, search and rescue, joint tactical drills and special arms skills. The exercise is being conducted in two phases, namely ‘Combat Conditioning & Tactical Training’ and ‘Validation’ phases.

    Who topped the list of most powerful business women - Arundhati Bhattacharya (SBI)

    As per Fortune India report, Chairperson of country's largest bank SBI Arundhati Bhattacharya is most powerful woman in the Indian business sector. Second place has been secured by Chanda Kochhar of ICICI Bank while Shikha Sharma of Axis Bank is at third place in this list.

    Arundhati Bhattacharya was also at top spot in previous ranking.

    Name of the cricketer who have first ever scored 10000 runs in Ranji - Wasim Jaffer

    Wasim Haffer who is opener of Vidarbha has became first ever cricketer in Ranji Trophy history to score 10000 runs. He reached at this milestone while playing a match against Bengal at the Jadavpur University second campus ground in Saltlake.

    Wasim Haffer has made debut for Mumbai in 1996-97.
