Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba announced retirement from International football
On 8th August 2014, the striker of Ivory Coast Didier Drogba announced his retirement from international football. He is 36 year old. He played three world cups for his country. He made total 104 appearances and scored 65 goals, over a 12-year period.

He was captian of his national team for eight years and made his team noticed among the world football teams. He played his first ever FIFA World Cup in Germany in 2006.
Munger through the Ages written by late DP Yadav released
On 7th August 2014, A book entitled Munger through the Ages authored by late Devendra Prasad Yadav was released at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The first copy of the book was received by President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
This book was released by Dr. Karan Singh, the Chairman of ICCR.
Book Munger through the Ages depicts the rich history and heritage of Munger district along with other unnoticed features.
This book also tells about the administration in Munger during early independent days and modern challenges.
AIMA Managing India 2014 awards announced in New Delhi
On 6th August 2014, AIMA Managing India Awards 2014 were announced in a function held at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi. The awards were given by Union Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh organizations / personalities who have made outstanding contributions.
