Prime Minister of Italy Enrico Letta resigned

Prime Minister of Italy Enrico Letta resigned on 14 February 2014. The statement released by the Italian presidential palace stated that the Italy’s President, Giorgio Napolitano accepted the resignation.

Letta belongs to the center-left Democratic Party.  Letta is likely to be replaced by the Democratic Party leader, the mayor of Florence Matteo Renzi.
