Russian Yulia Lipnitskaya - Youngest Winter Olympic champion

Fifteen year old Russian figure skater Yulia Lipnitskaya has become the youngest athlete in the world to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics. She showed brilliant free skating in the team figure skating competition.

Important to Note : 

• Yulia Lipnitskaya won a silver medal at the Russian Senior Championships, 2012 and a gold medal at the Russian Junior Championships, 2012.
• Yulia Lipnitskaya holds the title of Master of Sport of International Class in Russia.
