If we read given question carefully, we get,
B+8 = C ---(i)

Putting D = 50-B from (iv) and (iii), we have :

    According to Question ,
    CAT 100 : 4 : : 100 : X
    MICE 100 : 4

    CAT = 100:4(Less cat more days) Indirect
    Mice = 100:4 (Less mice less days) Direct

    In Direct proportion, ratio will same.
    but in Indirect proportion, ratio will exchange.

    So, CAT is Indirect then , ratio of CAT will be = 4:100

    CAT 4 : 100 : : 100 : X
    MICE 100 : 4

    Then solution is,
    X*4*100 = (100*100*4)

    then X = (100*100*4)/(100*4)

    Answer is 100 Days.

    If 100 cats kill 100 mice in 100 days, then 4 cats would kill 4 mice in how many days ?
    Ans- This ques. can be solved by man day work. i.e- m1*d1*w2=m2*d2*w1
    here, 100*100*4=4*d2*100
    or d2=100 days.
    Therefore, 4 Cats would kills 4 mice in 100 days.
