    Missile Destroyer Mormugao was launched by - Indian Navy

    Among Important National and Defence Current Affairs, Indigenously built warship named 'Mormugao' was lauched by Indian Navy. Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba said that this stealth destroyer can be compared with the best vessels in the world.
    Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) has built it. It was released into Arabian Sea for the first time as it will undergo few testings and then later it will be known as INS Mormugao.
    During 2020-2024 Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd will be built and deliver four more such destroyers. These ships are of Visakhapatnam class and first ship was launched on April 20, 2015.
