    Who is conferred with Sayyidina Imam Al Hassan Ibn Ali Peace Award - Maulana Wahiduddin Khan

    Among the important International Current Affairs, On 30th April 2015, Eminent Islamic scholar and activist Maulana Wahiduddin Khan was conferred with the Sayyidina Imam Al Hassan Ibn Ali Peace Award in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

    Maulana Wahiduddin Khan is well known for his knowledge and endeavour in peace keeping. Several books and articles on Islam has been authored by him.

    He was awarded with the Padma Bhushan in January 2000, India's third highest civilian honour; Demiurgus Peace International Award; the National Citizen’s Award presented by Mother Teresa and the Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award in 2009.

    Among the important National Current Affairs, On 30th April 2015, Nadia district of West Bengal was declared as the first open defecation-free (ODF) district in India. Due to its collaborative effort with United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and World Bank aimed at construction of toilets across the district, Nadia district has achieve this triumph.
