Universal Children Day observed on - 20th November 2016

Among Important Days, Universal Children's Day was observed across the globe on 20th November 2016 with an aim to promote the ideals and objectives of the United Nation's Charter and the welfare of the children of the world. This day UNGA adopted the declaration of the Rights of Child in 1959 as in 1954 UNGA ( United Nations General Assembly ) recommended all countries to institute a Universal Children Day.

Who has been appointed as Executive Chairman of National Legal Services Authority - Jagdish Singh Khehar

On 18th November 2016, Jagdish Singh Khehar was appointed as the Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) by Union Government. Jagdish Singh Khehar will succeed Anil R. Dave and is also a judge in Supreme Court.

Important to mention here that National Legal Services Authority of India was formed on 5 December 1995 with a purpose to provide free legal services to eligible candidates and to organize Lok Adalats for speedy resolution of cases.
