Who has been appointed as new DGP of Andhra Pradesh ?- N Sambasiva Rao

 On 24th November 2017, N Sambasiva Rao was appointed as new DGP of Andhra Pradesh. Important to mention here that he was already holding DGPs post as full additional charge since 23rd July 2016.
N Sambasiva Rao is 1984 batch IPS officer. 

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women observed on - 25th November

On 25th November 2017, The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was observed across the globe. This will be a 16 day long campaign from 25th November to 10th December 2017. This campaign is being oberved with an aim to raise awareness about violence against women.

What is DANX-17 - Defence of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Exercise 2017

On 24th November 2017, DANX-17 excercise was concluded. It was done under the aegis of Andaman & Nicobar Command from 20th - 24th November 2017. Full form of DANX-17 is Defence of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Exercise 2017.
This was done with an aim to do drills of all command forces for defending Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In this excercise Special forces, Naval Ships and Heavy lift transport aircrafts took part.
