    With whom did Union Cabinet approved MoU on water resources management and development cooperation - Israel

    Among the important Interational Current Affairs, On 2nd December 2015, The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave its nod for signing of a MoU between India and Israel for water resources management and development cooperation.

    Highlights of the MoU

    • Both the countries will be benefitted with the MoU in enhancing the techniques in systematic use of water, desalination, aquifer recharge, recycling/re-use of waste water, micro-irrigation.
    • To observe the activities carried out in fulfilment of the MoU a Joint Working Group will be constituted.

    Tata Sons Ltd tied-up with - Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Limited

    On 2nd December 2015, Tata Sons Ltd collaborated by signing a banking agreement with Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC). With this partnership, ICBC will become a deliberate banking partner to the Tata group.

    Among the important appointments, On 2nd December 2015, Indian-American Dr Vijay M Rao was named as the chairperson of the prestigious Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Board of Directors.

    His responsibility as the chairperson at RSNA is to show her expertise in health services and policy matters to bear in a shifting healthcare landscape of increasing complexity and declining remuneration.

    Currently, Dr Rao was the David C Levin Professor and Chairperson of Radiology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

    About Justice Tirath Singh Thakur

    • He was appointed as an additional judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in February 1994 and in March 1994 he was appointed as the judge of the Karnataka High Court.
    • In September 1995, he was appointed as a permanent judge and in July 2004 he was transferred to the Delhi High Court.
    • On 17th November 2009, he was elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court.

    Who has won prestigious INBA Award - Adidas India’s Pulin Kumar

    Among the important National Current Affairs, On 26th November 2015, Pulin Kumar, Group Senior Legal and Compliance Director of Adidas India, was presented with the Indian National Bar Association's (INBA) General Counsel of the year 2015 - Retail Award in New Delhi.

    The award was presented to him on the occasion of INBA's Annual International Conference-66th National Law Day by Senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani for his contribution to the legal field in and outside India for more than two decades.
