    Which State Government has announced to provide free education to SC/ST and girls till Post Graduation(PG) - Bihar

    On 4th February 2015, Bihar Government has announced to provide free education to SC/ST and girls till Post Graduation(PG) level. Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi made this announcement at the state cabinet meeting. State government will compensate the financial loss to such educational institutes after admitting students as per this decision. It will cost Rs. 29 crore annually to state government and benefit over four lakh students in the State.

    On 4th February 2015, Dr. Zakir A. Naik of India won the 2015 King Faisal International Prize(KFIP) in category of Service to Islam. The award was announced by Makkah Governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal and KFIP Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Othaimeen. Dr. Zakir A. Naik is the founder and President of the Islamic Research Foundation of India. He has been endowed with many awards including Islamic Personality of 2013, Malaysia’s Distinguished International Personality Award (2013), Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work (2013).

    On 2nd February 2015, Madhya Pradesh won the 10th National Award for outstanding work in MGNREGA. Madhya Pradesh Panchayats and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava were awarded by the Union Rural Development Minister Virendra Singh at the MGNREGA summit held in New Delhi. 74% construction of properties has been done through MGNREGA in the state. 179 crore 11 lakh days of employment have been created among which 77 crore 36 lakh days of employment have been provided to female labourers.
