    Cancer Survivors Day - 7th June (First Sunday of June)

    On 7th June 2015,  Cancer Survivors Day was observed as it is observed on first Sunday in June. The day is meant to "demonstrate that life after a cancer diagnosis can be a reality".

For this purpose five-acre plot in the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Mannuthy has been selected. This hospital is expected to have a cost of Rs 10 Crore.

    On 7th June 2015, Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was conferred Award of of Bangladesh Liberation War Honour for his active role in the country independence struggle and consolidating India friendship with the Bangladesh.

    Name of the prominent scientist who sworned in as President of Mauritius - Ameenah Gurib-Fakim

    Among the Important International Current Affairs, On 5th June 2015, Prominent scientist Ameenah Gurib-Fakim sworned in as new President of Mauritius. She is the first ever female president of Mauritius. 

    Ameenah Gurib-Fakim is a renowned scientist and biologist, she succeeded Kailash Purryag for this top post.

    She is an alumni of the universities of Exeter and Surrey in Britain. She also serves as the chairman of organic chemistry at Mauritius University. Apart from thi she has also worked with the World Bank and other international institutions as well.

    Who won 20th Grand Slam by winning French Open - Serena Williams
