Name of first Railway Division of India, which became first to eliminate all unmanned level crossings - Sambalpur Railway Division

On 5th July 2018, Sambalpur railway division of Railways became first to eliminate all unmanned level crossings. It also set a record of constructing six limited height subways (LHS) at one go in four and half hours.
Completion of six limited height subways in just four and half hours was an achievement for railways which was widely appreciated too.

International Day of Cooperatives 2018 observed on - 7th July 2018

 On 7th July 2018, International Day of Cooperatives was observed across the globe. Theme of this year was Sustainable societies through cooperation. This day is being celebrated with an aim to promote the co-operative model for sustainable development with a base of ethics and principles.

On 16th December 1992, United Nations General Assembly proclaimed in resolution 47/90 "the first Saturday of July 1995 to be International Day of Cooperatives, marking the centenary of the establishment of the International Cooperative Alliance."
