Committee to deal on False Advertisement set up by CCPC

The Central Consumer Protection Council (CCPC) headed by K V Thomas decided to set up a sub-committee on 3 February 2014. 

The committee will issue guidelines to monitor the advertisements as currently there is no any legal safeguard available for consumers to deal with the false advertisements.

Important to Note in this Current Affair :

• The CCPC is under the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs.
• The committee will submit its recommendations by the end of February 2014.
